Caregiving is a beautiful expression of God’s command to love our neighbor. Its blessings don’t come from recognition, praise, or sympathy from others. The true blessing is found when love becomes a verb—when we live each day with the love of God active in our hearts.”

We are honored to introduce the dedicated men and women who serve each day at Emmanuel Children’s Center of Bombardopolis Haiti. These individuals work tirelessly to create a safe, nurturing home for our children and to provide for their daily needs. Our ministry could not operate without their commitment and hard work.

Our current monthly payroll is $762, which allows us to provide wages for our dedicated team. On average, our caretakers earn about $50 per month (approximately 7,000 HTG), faithfully serving the children day in and day out. With the support of staff sponsorships, it is our prayer to increase our monthly payroll budget to $1,000, making room for much-deserved raises for our staff.

Many of our team members have served our children faithfully for years, often through incredibly challenging circumstances. By expanding staff sponsorship, we hope to honor their loyalty and hard work in a tangible way—showing them the appreciation, dignity, and support they truly deserve.

Meet our Staff

  • Madam Moseny

Mrs. Moseny is like a mother to the children. Raised in the home herself, she later studied nursing and computer science before returning in 2015, following God’s calling to serve. Her humility, compassion, and firsthand understanding make her a pillar of comfort and guidance for the kids. She lives with her husband just down the street and supports ECCBH daily through her administrative work and ongoing care for the children.

  • Stervenson

Stervenson grew up at Emmanuel and has become a trusted leader on our team. As a full-time staff member, he drives the large bus, assists with installing internet towers and managing Nuvonet, and is always repairing and maintaining things around the property. He is kind, dependable, and always willing to help. Stervenson plays a vital role on the ground—sharing updates, taking photos, and supporting ECCBH in countless ways.

  • Madam Ketley

  • Madam Canes

Madam Canas is not only an incredible cook—she is also a caring presence for the children while she prepares their meals. She carries one of the toughest jobs at Emmanuel, cooking over wood or charcoal in a small, smoke-filled shack, yet she does it joyfully and turns the simplest ingredients into delicious meals. We are deeply grateful for her sacrifice, dedication, and love. Madam Canas has six children of her own who also reside at Emmanuel, and her commitment to caring for all the kids is truly a blessing.

  • Riclaud

Riclaude is so much more than our security guard—he’s also a skilled handyman and the first person we call for anything that requires strength or hard work. During mango and avocado season, he’s our hero, effortlessly climbing the tallest trees to gather fruit and leaving us all amazed by his skill. Riclaude has two children—Clovens, who lives with us at Emmanuel, and his daughter, Nayou, who resides with her mother. He is known for his constant smile and cheerful spirit, and we are grateful to have him as part of our family.

  • Madam Remo

Madam Remo has been caring for Francisco for the past couple years and is fully dedicated to supporting him throughout each day. She helps him walk around the property, engages him in play to encourage stimulation, and ensures he is fed, bathed, and well cared for. Francisco and her have formed a beautiful bond—she understands his needs with remarkable patience and intuition. In addition to her care for Francisco, Madam Remo is a hard worker who helps with many tasks around the orphanage.

  • Madam Merana

Madam Merana helps care for our little ones and supports with laundry and daily tasks around ECCBH. She is an invaluable extra set of hands—especially for our children with special needs—and she also helps ensure the children keep their dorms tidy and well cared for. Her gentle presence, faithfulness, and willingness to serve wherever needed bring comfort, structure, and stability to daily life at ECCBH.

  • Mr. Canes

Mr. Canas spends his days doing all kinds of physical labor: walking miles to collect wood for cooking, caring for the goats and chickens, and assisting with any ongoing projects around the orphanage. He was also a tremendous support to Papa during his battle with Parkinson’s, faithfully helping him day after day, always with a warm smile. Mr. Canas embodies dedication, kindness, and quiet strength, and we are grateful for all he brings to our home.

  • Madam Saintilai

We currently have one wash lady who comes a few times a week to do the children’s laundry. Every item is washed entirely by hand and then hung to dry. Madam works incredibly hard—bent over for hours scrubbing clothing. It’s truly impressive how she manages to keep their church clothes so clean and bright despite all the dust and dirt around. We are deeply grateful for her dedication and hope that one day we can hire additional help to lighten her load.
