“In Haiti, the church stands as a lighthouse—shining hope where darkness tries to take hold.”
Our History
In a country where voodoo has long been predominant—especially in the remote regions of Haiti—the Lord used Emmanuel in extraordinary ways. Over a span of 35 years, Emmanuel helped build 38 churches. Achieving this during a time when water was difficult to access, construction materials were scarce, and the only transportation to the Northwest was a grueling 12-hour land journey is nothing short of a testament to God’s provision.
Each of these churches was built by faith—born from a desire to follow God’s call and bring the Gospel to those in need. Emmanuel stepped in wherever there was a pastor willing to preach but lacking the resources to build a gathering place. Every structure was raised with one purpose:
to expand God’s Kingdom and bring light into communities longing for hope.
Our Churches
Emmanuel Évangélique Baptiste Church and its six satellite churches are more than places of worship—they are lifelines for the communities they serve, meeting both spiritual and everyday needs in regions marked by deep poverty. While some buildings require repairs, the greater vision is to uplift each community as a whole: creating safe, accessible spaces for the elderly, restoring and expanding education like kindergarten programs, and inspiring more people to gather, grow, and find hope in faith.
Many of these churches are older structures now facing significant structural challenges, including deteriorating roofs, cracked walls, and unsafe foundations that require extensive repair. Addressing these needs is essential—not just to preserve the buildings, but to ensure they remain safe, welcoming, and functional spaces for worship, learning, and community connection.
We invite you to be part of this greater mission. Together, we can nurture thriving, faith-filled communities—where churches are not only standing strong, but actively transforming lives through worship, education, and compassionate support for all.
At ECCBH, we believe in the power of local churches to bring the hope of Jesus into a nation longing for truth, healing, and light. We currently support our main campus and five satellite churches as they serve their communities—helping lift children from poverty in Jesus’ name, encourage and disciple youth, care for widows, and stand alongside our pastors. We look to church leaders like you to partner with us in this meaningful Kingdom work.
What step might you take today? Could you begin a conversation about generosity within your church, or consider how your congregation might come alongside us—whether through prayer, partnership, or helping restore and strengthen these churches and the communities they serve?
