The Emmanuel Main Campus, built in 1983 as the second structure following the orphanage’s main dormitory, stands today as one of the strongest and most vibrant churches among all 38. Thanks to a devoted administrative team and a supportive community, this church remains deeply committed to nurturing the faith of our youth through gospel teaching, worship, and youth group activities. You can support our youth program through the link below.

One of the most powerful testimonies connected to Emmanuel Main Campus comes from Pastor Charles Chatman. While preparing for a trip to Haiti, he was robbed at gunpoint in Jacksonville, FL—losing his credit card and all the funds he had raised to support Emmanuel Church. Stranded, discouraged, and unsure how to return home to Missouri, he began to question whether he should continue pursuing the vision God had given him.

Word of the robbery spread, and a Christian radio station reached out, asking him to share his story. After prayer and hesitation, he agreed. Within just 14 days, listeners rallied together and raised twice the amount that had been stolen. Pastor Chatman proceeded to Haiti as planned.

As a lasting testimony of God’s faithfulness, he built a double wall on the Emmanuel Main Campus church. While the added structure strengthens the building, Pastor Chatman sees it as something far greater—a physical reminder that even in hardship, God provides, protects, and prevails.

Emmanuel Main Campus

Today, it stands as the central church in the region, offering worship services on Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings—a living testament to resilience, hope, and God’s provision.

Most of the buildings on the Emmanuel Children’s Center property were severely damaged by the devastating hurricane of 2010. For a country already facing immense hardship, a disaster of this magnitude was truly heartbreaking. Yet through prayer, faith, and the unity of our community, missionaries, and staff, Emmanuel Main Campus was rebuilt.

Emmanuel Main Campus: Rebuild after Hurricane Matthew

Emmanuel Church Pelicier

Emmanuel Church Pelicier was built in 2000 and is the closest of our five satellite churches to the main campus. Tucked up the mountain and reached by rocky roads, this humble church gathers faithfully for worship every Sunday. Like our other churches, Pelicier faces urgent needs—both in building repairs and within the community itself.

One of Pelicier’s greatest needs is the reopening of its kindergarten program. This program once provided early childhood education to many local children, but the building has not been restored enough to resume classes. Because Pelicier is so remote, and no other kindergarten options exist nearby, young children are left at home with no opportunity to begin their education.

The community of Pelicier would be deeply grateful for your prayers as they navigate a very difficult season, much like the rest of Haiti. Any support is appreciated, and no gift is too small to make a meaningful difference.

Emmanuel Church in FondMa

Emmanuel FondMa was built in 2001 with a mission to serve and uplift a community far from our main campus. Because of the distance and isolation, we knew a satellite church was essential. Reaching Emmanuel FondMa requires traveling a single main road that becomes nearly impassable when it rains—yet this tight-knit community remains faithful, gathering each Sunday to worship the Lord with joy and perseverance.

There are many ways to support the Emmanuel FondMa campus. The church building is nearing collapse and urgently needs significant structural repairs. Several families in the congregation care for medically complex children and would greatly appreciate support. Our pastors, who face the same hardships as the community, also value sponsorship and encouragement. We hope to welcome pastors from around the world to visit FondMa, preach, and build meaningful connections with our staff and church family.

Emmanuel FondMa holds a special place in our hearts. In 2023, a very special little boy from this community joined our orphanage. For years, we supported him and his grandmother as they faced extreme poverty. She often came to us seeking food, determined to care for the only family she had left. When he began to experience serious medical complications with his leg, we prayed over him and helped seek support for his treatment. After his grandmother passed away in 2023, God opened the door for him to come home to our orphanage, where he is now safe, loved, and surrounded by care.

During our visit in October 2023, the pastors shared their deep concerns about the worsening structural damage to the church. Safety is their top priority, and the growing cracks in the walls pose a serious fall risk—especially for the elderly. The roof is also nearing collapse, putting everyone who gathers for worship in danger each Sunday.

We pray that by sharing the story of this special church and its devoted community, we will connect with those who feel led to support Emmanuel FondMa and help it grow and thrive in the years ahead. Below are images taken in October 2023 showing the extent of the damage. As with any building of this age, there are many repairs urgently needed.

FondMa is a community marked by resilience and faith, and your prayers and support can make a life-changing difference.

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)

Emmanuel Church Massavon

Emmanuel Massavon was built in 2002 and is one of the more structurally stable churches under the Emmanuel umbrella. Yet, like all our churches, the community continues to face many needs and carries many prayer requests. Our main campus has supported Massavon through puppet shows, food and clothing donations, financial assistance, and mobility equipment such as wheelchairs.

Massavon is home to a large elderly population, many of whom are no longer able to attend church due to age-related challenges and physical limitations. In October 2022, a beautiful moment of hope arrived when 5 Star Global Ministries visited and provided evaluations for those most in need of wheelchairs, braces, and walkers. This outreach offered renewed dignity, mobility, and encouragement to many who had long been unable to participate in worship or community life.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”

Galatians 6:2

Emmanuel Church Lariolè

A small church, remotely located at the bottom of a rocky hill, built in 2022 with trees, tarps and palm tree leaves. Poverty has hit this community, but they remain some of the most hardworking, grateful and honest people in the region. While their church struggles structurally, their faith and love for Jesus overpowers their hardships every Sunday in this small handmade church. With lack of resources and funding, Emmanuel Lariolè has struggled to rebuild. Emmanuel main campus has helped support this community through food and clothing donations and a dental outreach program. Next we pray for the right donors to come along that have faith in the endless possibilities of this church.

"But the one who endures to the end will be saved."

Matthew 24:13

Emmanuel Ravine Galette

Emmanuel Ravine Galette was built several decades ago. Because of its distance from our main campus and its remote hillside location, we are not able to visit as often as we would like. This church was hit hard by the 2010 hurricane, and the entire community suffered tremendous loss during that devastating event. Emmanuel Ravine Galette has always been one of Papa Maurancy’s beloved churches, and it weighs heavily on his heart to see how much help they need. Yet, despite every challenge and the scarcity of resources, the congregation continues to gather faithfully, standing strong in their faith.

We hope to partner with this church to address their structural needs and support the needs of their community. With your help, we pray we can bless this congregation through food distributions, scholarships, and other essential support for families in need.
