We, the members and leaders of Emmanuel Children's Center of Bombardopolis Haiti, affirm our unwavering faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, grounded in the Holy Scriptures of the Bible. We believe:
The Triune God: We believe in the one true God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, as revealed in Matthew 28:19: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
The Deity of Jesus Christ: We confess that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, as affirmed in John 1:1: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
The Incarnation: We believe in the miraculous birth of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, and His sinless life, in accordance with Isaiah 7:14 and Hebrews 4:15: "Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel" and "For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin."
The Atonement: We affirm the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross for the forgiveness of sins, in line with Romans 5:8: "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Salvation by Faith: We believe that salvation is a free gift from God received through faith in Jesus Christ alone, in accordance with Ephesians 2:8-9: "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast."
The Resurrection: We confess the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day, as stated in Luke 24:6-7: "He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 'The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.'"
The Second Coming: We anticipate the return of Jesus Christ as King and Judge, in accordance with Revelation 22:12: "Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done."
The Authority of Scripture: We affirm the divine inspiration, inerrancy, and authority of the Holy Scriptures as our ultimate guide for faith and practice, as described in 2 Timothy 3:16-17: "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
The Great Commission: We are committed to fulfilling the Great Commission given by Jesus in Matthew 28:18-20: "Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.'"
As a non-profit organization, we strive to live out these beliefs in our mission, activities, and interactions with others, seeking to serve as a beacon of God's love and grace to the world.
