Primary education was the only type of education that was provided in Bombardopolis for a very long time. Graduating from 6th grade was a big deal in the community as this was the final grade of school. Fortunately Papa Francois, founder of Emmanuel Children's Home, and other educators were advocates for the importance of providing further education. With their initiative, College Evangelique Baptiste Emmanuel implemented a high school program later on. Our primary grade levels are now 1st-6th. The graduation ceremony for primary is still quite a big deal in Bombard and an achievement that many look forward to.
Our Primary school needs a lot of mentoring and assistance financially. We are unfortunately underperforming compared to other primary schools across the region. |

Our building that houses the primary classrooms on the first floor, did not meet inspection for this past school year. There is a lot of repairs and improvements to be made to create a more soundproof, safe and productive learning environment. Our teachers struggle with behavior management in very large class sizes. Our families struggle to provide their children with school supplies, books, and shoes. We welcome prayers and assistance as we work towards a better education for our Primary school at College Evangelique Baptiste Emmanuel.
Primary School Tuition and Fees (2024-2025)
The cost of 2024-2025 tuition for our primary students is $65-$77 per student, per academic year. This does not include the uniform, socks, shoes, textbooks, backpack and supplies which is an expensed covered by the parent. Our goal this year is to bridge the gap between affording tuition and the fees that go along with attending school. We have created a scholarship program, to help assist those families during these tough times and to allow more children the opportunity to have an education, whether it be for just one semester or the whole school year.
Support our Primary School
Gift Education to a ChildGive the gift of education to a child in need through a one time or monthly sponsorship. Your sponsorship will help alleviate some of that stress many parents face when they must make the decision between sending their child to school or feeding their family. Our primary tuition is $65-$77 per student, per academic year. The needs are endless, but changing the cycle of poverty in Haiti begins with Education! Our families do not pay the full year's tuition upfront; it is divided into trimesters. We welcome any donation, even if it only covers one semester, to help a child receive an education. Every little bit helps!

Give Teachers a Bonus. Our primary teachers have struggled over the years as a result of a decline in student enrollment. Compared to other primary programs in the region, we are not ranked very high. With a low salary (under $60 a month), we have lost many teachers. They finally discovered that they can generate a better income by making charcoal. It is important we support our teachers and our primary program so we can improve the lives of the many children we serve. Any contributions you would like to offer to support these teachers would be greatly appreciated. .

Support a ProjectThe Primary grade level hallways are loud, the classrooms are dark and the children are very distracted. Unfortunately, our school did not pass the inspections for the past school year due to the lack of soundproofing in between classrooms. It is imperative that we fix the violated issues to not only be complaint but to create an atmosphere inducive for learning. We have many projects on our to-do list for this year, with your help we can provide a more productive and comfortable learning environment for our students.
