In 2022 we had the opportunity to set up a mobile dental clinic in a very remote area at one of our Emmanuel Churches, Lariole. Although it was a small team, we truly experienced the phrase “team work makes the dream work”. We were able to bring portable dental equipment and a small compressor to this church to provide services to over 50 adults and children of the community. For a majority of the patients, this was their first time receiving dental care. 

During this 12+ hour day, four of the oldest teens from our orphanage helped the two hygienists set up the clinic, seat and dismiss patients, provided dental education and helped by being hands on with whatever the girls needed. Serving others is one of the important values we want our children to cultivate from a young age, and seeing this bare fruit with the older kids was truly heartwarming. 

It is our desire to continue to host these Mobile Dentistry days all over the Northwest of Haiti, and with your help we will be able to continue to bring smiles to some of the most remote areas in Haiti.
