One of our commitments at the orphanage is to make sure that we do all we can to equip the children with as many tools as we can so that they don't go into the world empty handed. We believe in the power of education and learning life long skills.
We continue to teach them languages, music, sewing and trades like telecommunications, solar, welding etc. Your monthly sponsorships are what have made such extra curricular activities possible, and for that we are so grateful. English & Spanish Class
We started our twice weekly language classes in 2020. We have enjoyed watching the kids practice their english and spanish skills with missionaries that come to serve. We have a few students that have become passionate about learning a second and third language with the hope to study abroad after graduation. We are truly so thankful to all our supporters who have made these classes possible through the gift of sponsorship. |

Academic Tutoring
In 2021 we were able to hire a local teacher to help with the children's homework and tutoring after school. Unfortunately, due to our budget we have not been able to continue with this much needed tutoring. We really hope to be able to re-instate these classes as with 36 kids it is extremely hard for the caregivers to be able to keep up. We truly believe this is such a necessity in order to provide the children with the right tools to have a successful academic year. |

Music Lessons
Some of the older kids have found a passion for playing music. For a couples of years they have been taking weekly music lessons at the orphanage and they really have paid off. The kids not only play daily at their devotions but they also are part of the worship team at church. We are so thankful for the few donated music instruments; the kids have really put them to amazing use. If you feel led to donate towards the purchase of more instruments or have some in great working condition we would be so happy to put them to use at the orphanage. |

Sewing Classes
For a few years, with the support of MCPH from France, we were able to provide the children with an opportunity to learn the gift of sewing. We shipped material and some equipment to get them started but unfortunately due to finances we had to discontinue. With your support we would love to be able to provide the children with this skill as we know it will not only be valuable for them to apply to their own needs, but it will also give them a way to earn an income once they leave our of the orphanage. |

Technology Education
In 2020 we had the pleasure of hosting a class for all the kids at the orphanage in network cabling led by Frankie and an engineer from Port de Paix. Since then Frankie has been teaching the older boys all the ins and outs of Telecom engineering. Stervenson has become an expert in Telecom and is now able to almost sustain Frankies Telecom project on his own. This project has been a huge blessing to the ministry and community as it has provided everyone with access to telecommunications which was extremely limited in the past. |
