The hard reality in our area of Haiti is that the needs seem endless and impossible to ignore. At Emmanuel Children's Center of Bombardopolis Haiti, we believe in being the voice for the needs that our Lord sets on our path to notice. Although our actual ministry has so many needs from orphanage building repairs, to school needs, to church needs, we are part of a community and we believe under the Kingdom we are all one.
Listed below are some of the community's needs of highest priority. If you or your organization have any ideas on how to help the community become more self sustainable so they can come out of this extreme poverty and improve their quality of life, we are open to partnerships! Should you choose to donate to any of our projects below, please know that 100% of your donation will go towards the designated cause, you will receive updates showing you exactly how your generosity has made an impact. |
Water WellThe community of Jasmin, which is located a few miles up the mountain, had a water well drilled a few decades ago but unfortunately a pump was never installed therefore water was never accessed from this well. People from this community currently have to walk miles in the rocky terrain and heat just to gather a few buckets of water. It is our hope to be able to see an end to this suffering for water by finishing up this water well and installing a pump in it. This well is located in an extensive area of land that could be put to use for gardening and producing food for the community. If you would like to donate towards this project or know of any organizations that work with water wells and would like to partner with us in helping this community please reach out to us.

Gift a GoatOne of our visions and prayers is to one day see the community of Bombardopolis sustain and thrive on their own. We believe in the empowerment of the Haitian people in order to help make a sustaining and lasting change. One way we can do this, is by giving families the tools to generate their own income and self sustain through the reproduction of goats. Goats are easily accessible in Haiti and are quite low maintenance. They are not only a source of food in Haiti but also a good source of income when sold. By gifting a family in need a goat we would be gifting them with a ticket to getting out of poverty. As they reproduce the goat, they now have a self sustainable way to generate an income to be able to send their children to school and provide for them. There will be specific criteria that will need to be met in order to qualify for this assistance. We will prioritize the biggest need by most compromised children and family units.
